Nature of the Summer Program

RIS Summer Program offers new fun, new adventures, new experiences, and new opportunities for personal growth. It will nurture children`s natural desire to learn – whether it’s art, nature, creative projects, sports or technology.
 

Summer Program Features

RIS Summer Camp features busy days full of fun camp activities and many opportunities to explore, discover, create, and connect. Children are grouped by age, and daily schedules include swimming lessons along with an ever-changing mix of activities. Each day there is a range of activities which include crafts, experiments, demonstrations, games, and team-building activities which all engage the students in exploring thinking processes, visual art and digital tools.

We understand that summertime is often filled with family trips and special events, and for that reason, we would like to offer families flexibility in registration. Students have the option of participating in just one, week-long session, a combination of sessions, or all four sessions if interested.

Behavior Guidelines

We encourage all children to have a positive attitude while at RIS Summer Program. Communication with children and parents is the key when it comes to managing behavior that is inappropriate or challenging. We expect children to act honestly, responsibly, and respectfully, and safely at all times during the Program.

• All children are to be honest with other children and teachers and supervisors​

• All children are expected to take responsibility for their actions

• All children are to respect themselves, each other, their teachers and supervisors, guest speakers, materials and equipment, and the environment

• All children are expected to follow all safety directions as presented by teachers and supervisors
