PROGRAM GUIDELINES

To have a safe and fun summer in our program, please abide by the guidelines below.

​

​Items to bring to the RIS Summer Program

Each day, students should come prepared to have a great time in our summer program. The summer program dress code in general is casual. Students are encouraged to wear whatever they feel comfortable in as long as it is practical and appropriate. In order to get the most out of the program, have fun with their peers, and participate fully in the lessons and activities planned, students should bring:

   ✓  A change of clothes (For Sports & Athletics Program Days)

   ✓  Swimsuit, swimming cap, swimming gear, and towel (For Swimming & Aquatics Program Days)

   ✓  Comfortable, active wear (sneakers, clothes that they can move freely in for Daily Physical Activity)

   ✓  General school supplies for classes (one large, spiral-bound notebook)

   ✓  Device (MacBook or iPad)

   ✓  Backpack

   ✓  Sunscreen, hat, light jacket

   ✓  Umbrella (in case of rain) 

   ✓  Water bottle

​Items not to bring

Please do NOT bring/wear the following:

   ✓  Personal sports equipment

   ✓  Toys

   ✓  Outside food (school will provide all food for snacks and lunches)

   ✓  Sandals (for safety purposes)

Special Schedule Note about Classes

Male and female students will take turns participating in the swimming and athletics programs on opposite days (i.e. Girls = Mon., Tues. - Swimming; Wed., Thurs. - Athletics / Boys = Wed., Thurs. - Swimming; Mon., Tues. - Athletics)

Arrival

Please let your child(ren) be at the bus stop a few minutes early as our bus operates on the published schedule. If a child will be absent any day of the week please call the RIS Front Desk at 02-571-2917 to notify us of your child’s absence. If the bus will be significantly late we will do our best to contact parents immediately. If you miss the bus you are welcome to bring your child out to program.
